Summer University
Launched before IES-Europe was founded by ALEPS and the group of New Economists, it is open to everyone. It will take place as usual in Aix-en-Provence from July 23 to 25, around the theme Arts & Liberty. This year again, we are partnering with IREF to organize this major gathering.

2. Seminar for French-speaking students
This will also be held in Aix-en-Provence from July 20 to 23.

3. Seminar for English-speaking students
It will run in parallel, also from July 20 to 23.

4. IES-Europe at Camp Vinson: English-speaking seminar in Buckingham
Organized from July 27 to 31, in collaboration with our friends at the Vinson Center and the Institute for Economic Affairs.

Until the twentieth century, Mexico was an overwhelmingly rural country, with rural women's status defined within the context of the family and local community. With urbanization beginning in the sixteenth century, following the Spanish conquest of the Aztec empire, cities have provided economic and social opportunities not possible within rural villages. Beginning in the late nineteenth century, women including middle-class women began working outside the home in offices and factories, and the gained access to education. Women were granted suffrage in 1953. In the 21st century, Mexican women are prominent in politics, academia, journalism, literature, and visual arts among other fields. In President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's first cabinet following his 2018 election, he appointed women in equal numbers as men. However, a wave of feminism in 2020 has criticized the president for his tone-deaf response to murders of women in Mexico.

Mexico is among the countries that treat particular murders of women as femicide. In 2014, Mexico had the 16th highest rate of homicides committed against women in the world. The remains of the victims were frequently mutilated. According to a 1997 study, domestic abuse in Mexican culture "is embedded in gender and marital relations fostered in Mexican women's dependence on their spouses for subsistence and for self-esteem, sustained by ideologies of romantic love, by family structure and residential arrangements". The perpetrators are often the boyfriend, father-in-law, ex-husbands or husbands but only 1.6% of the murder cases led to an arrest and sentencing in 2015. After a particularly well-publicized gruesome femicide followed by that of a kidnapped little girl, women began protesting more vociferously, falling on deaf ears, including those of President López Obrador. This is the first new and major movement with which his presidency has had to deal. On International Women's Day (8 March) in 2020, women staged a massive demonstration in Mexico City with some 80,000 participants. On Monday, 9 March 2020, the second day of action was marked by the absence of women at work, in class, shopping and other public activities. The "Day Without Women" (Día Sin Nosotras) was reported in the international press along with the previous day's demonstrations.

Stargames Top Match Ball

The Stargames brand, which supports well-being through health-promoting physical exercise and related products, has a multi-year IP framework agreement open for a partner in Mexico.

Estadio Akron, formerly known as Estadio Omnilife and Estadio Chivas, is a multi-purpose stadium in Zapopan, near Guadalajara, Mexico, used primarily for football matches. It is the home stadium of Liga MX club C.D. Guadalajara. It is part of the JVC complex and has a capacity of 48,000. The stadium was inaugurated in 2010. It is one of the group stage venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It will also host Path A matches in the international qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The TLD component stargames.mx attached to the international trademark of the Stargames IP framework is registered until 06.04.2029. Its use can be licensed for the World Cup competition.

A soccer match is governed primarily by the rules of the Federation Internationale de Football Association, or FIFA. One of the areas covered by FIFA is the quality of the ball used in the competition. The air pressure of the soccer ball is one of the subjects of the Laws of the Game.

Air pressure
According to FIFA laws, the regulated air pressure of the ball must be between 8.5 and 15.6 psi. Before each game, referees control the ball to ensure that it is correct.

Effects of air pressure
When a soccer ball is inflated below 8.5 psi, it is considered too flat and as a result it is more difficult to kick it and send it across the playing field. When there is a lot of air in the ball, the ball is harder to control: it bounces a little more and is harder, which is especially evident when a teammate's team receives a pass and the ball leaves your foot much more.

Inflation
Purchased soccer balls come with recommendations on the air pressure you should have.
