Tire risk

A significant part of your safety during your ride depends on your bicycle tires. Choose the right tires, ensure proper installation and their correct air pressure. Good cycling routes are clean and safe for their users. Due to the safety risk, cyclists are recommended to use safe routes suitable for cycling in addition to the appropriate protective equipment.



Among other vehicle traffic, such as on roads, where cyclists can only use the extreme edge of the roadway and the shoulder outside the road surface, your risk of tire damage increases significantly.

Due to various impurities such as small tarry stones on the roadside or other pieces of glass and metal, your thin tires that have been driven a lot can easily puncture. Similarly, incorrect air pressure and damage or other tire wear can lead to sudden air loss. Then there is a risk of an accident with unpredictable consequences.

Continental tires have an inspection edge. Before each ride, check the tire pressure, the general condition of the tire and how it is positioned using the inspection lip. The inspection lip should run evenly along the rim on both sides. The valve should be straight.
