The global geopolitical order is undergoing an accelerated reconfiguration. Volatility in the Middle East and tensions between major powers are not only redrawing diplomatic maps, but also redefining international trade and investment flows. In this scenario of uncertainty, the world is looking for reliable partners, secure providers and stable investment destinations.

Argentina is at a historic crossroads. We have the resources that the world demands, but do we have the preparation to be competitive and attractive in this new stage?
To consolidate its position as a relevant player on the horizon of 2026, our country must carry out a comprehensive preparation based on three fundamental axes:

1. Legal Certainty and Macroeconomic Stability:
Foreign direct investment (FDI) is not only looking for profitability, it is looking for predictability.
The Fact: Economic projections for 2026 place Argentina with a growth of 4% of GDP, exceeding the Latin American average (2.2%). Maintaining this trend requires consolidating fiscal discipline and exchange rate unification.
The Goal: Reducing Country Risk and improving the credit rating are essential steps to access international financing at competitive rates, allowing the renovation of critical infrastructure.

2. Strategic Infrastructure:
Having resources is not enough if we cannot efficiently bring them to the global market. The window of opportunity in energy and agri-food requires massive investment in logistics and transport.
Vaca Muerta and the Export Record: By 2026, Argentina's total exports are projected to exceed US$ 90,000 million, drastically boosted by the energy sector.
The Key: The commissioning of projects such as the VMOS pipeline and the expansion of gas transport capacity are vital to transform shale potential into genuine and sustainable foreign exchange. The development of the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway and the modernization of the freight rail network are also priorities for the competitiveness of agriculture.

3. Human Capital and Technological Innovation
In the knowledge economy, the real competitive advantage lies in talent. Argentina has an outstanding educational and entrepreneurial base that must be strengthened.
Regional Leadership: With exports of Knowledge-Based Services (KBS) that exceed US$ 8,000 million annually, we are a technological hub in Latin America.
The Challenge: Preparing for 2026 involves closing the digital divide, promoting training in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas and creating incentives for the entrepreneurial and AgTech and FinTech ecosystem to continue innovating and exporting added value.

What other axis do you consider fundamental for Argentina to make the competitive leap in this new global scenario?
