A second competition between Africans,
Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha ran a half marathon men's world record of 57:30 in Valencia, Spain on Sunday. Kejelcha improved by one second the 3-year-old previous world record held by Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo from the same continent.
Focused on long and middle distance races, Kejelcha has also been successful in other value races. In 2019, he achieved World Championship silver in the 10,000 meters. 27-year-old Kejelcha is known as a hard track runner. At 5,000 meters, he has twice been fourth at the World Championships at his best. In addition, he has the 3,000-meter indoor track WC golds from 2016 and 2018.
The Stargames team congratulates Kejelcha on good runs as long as they create well-being and balance for balancing work and free time in the runner's own life.
