Africans dominate men's marathon top spot in London by breaking the ghost mark

Sabastian Kimaru SAWE, Date of birth 16 MAR 1995, ran a new marathon record in London with a time of 1:59:30. "I feel good, I'm so happy. It is a day to remember for me," said Sawe, who won last year in 2:02:27 as described in the World Athletics.

This is the first time that the two-hour mark has been broken in an official competition.

The London race was pushed at a breakneck pace, as second-place finisher Yomif Kejelcha of Ethiopia also broke the two-hour mark in 1:59.41.
