Dear colleagues, students, and members of the SMC academic community,
We are pleased to announce that Signum Magnum College has officially begun uploading dissertations and scholarly submissions to Zenodo, an internationally recognized open‑access research repository.
Zenodo is a major global repository created and operated by CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) and supported by the European Commission. It provides long‑term preservation and open dissemination for research outputs of all kinds—articles, datasets, theses, software, and more—ensuring that scholarly work remains accessible, citable, and visible worldwide.
By establishing an official SMC collection on Zenodo, our institution strengthens its academic presence and aligns with international best practices in doctoral education and open science:
Public visibility and transparency: dissertations become openly accessible to the global research community, showcasing the quality of scholarship produced at SMC.
Permanent DOI for every thesis: each uploaded dissertation receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring stable referencing, long‑term citability, and global discoverability.
Integration with ORCID: Zenodo connects seamlessly with ORCID, enabling authors to link their dissertations directly to their academic profiles and ensuring proper attribution.
Long‑term preservation: research outputs are archived securely and remain accessible for decades, supporting the continuity of scholarly work.
